Alive & try out new ways

So sorry for my long absence from the bloggingspot... I am currently preparing a lot of things. I finally found out what I want to do. I decided that I want to go more into photography and the card creating thing. Therefore I am preparing many things to be ready to start in a real business attitude soon. I really hope my idea will work out and that the people will like my kind of work. So stay tuned for more information coming in the next weeks and months. And if you are interested in some cards (wedding, baby, appartment movement, whatever...) or would like to have pictures taken of you, your family or your kids, do not hesitate to contact me. As I am still portfolio building I will be able to make very reasonable offers.

long time no see

Yeah, quite a while since my last post. Was not really busy. Just finished some layouts (and killed the sewing machine while trying it out on my layouts). Also finally scanned my thank you cards for my Heidi Swapp BSP class. Really like how the cards look. About the layout I am not too sure. Guess it is too busy for me, but I try to challenge myself by really doing this "messy" layouts. But at the end I have to say I still prefer the cleaner look I usually approach. I really like the March calendar page. Love especially the spring touch she has. And guess which colors I am lately totally into...







Other projects I am up. Working on more Baby cards and hopefully will have some new clients for wedding stationary... would be nice to gain some money from something I really love to do. Sneek peek of these will follow probably tomorrow.

Spring is in the air

Yes it's spring and it's wonderful.
So time to change the layout to lighter spring colors.

Rework pics

Uahh, the photoshooing was real fun. But I have so much to learn and take better care of! It is hard to see your mistake on the little camera display.... Especially it is hard see how blurry they really are. I am quite happy with the motives we did but am disappointed about my focus. Really do not know where the focus was at all. Next time I have to set the focus probably not on manual but better on one just in the middle. The real good thing, I shoot all of them in manual mode. Guess this was really good as the lightning was quite difficult too in her appartment (or say at least for me as a beginner). As I already stated learning by doing. She already told me that she would like to have some more pictures taken in a later stage. And I really hope she likes them anyway even tough many of them are blurry.

Photoshoot

Tomorrow I will do my first official photoshoot. I will visit my dear friend Sabine and make some pictures of her. She is now six months pregnant and I really hope I am able to make some nice shots. Still trying to improve my photography, but I am sure I already learnt a little bit. And I am pretty confident as I am a learning by doing person. So no learning without practice.

And here are also some pictures of the Album and the photoframe I made for Gianlucas parents. They liked it so I am happy. I also like the chipboard booklet I made myself. Just used some old chipboard from some package and made an album together with black paper. Easypeasy to do.






I am also working on my HSBPS March layout but just messed up my whole wording while trying some new technique. Guess better leave them plain or try it in another way... stay tuned to see it soon.

Busy, busy, busy

Yes I am totally busy, lol. Yesterday was a hardcore working day. We had to send out an RFP for an Operator in Angola. More than 2500 pages had to be printed out and put in 9 binders. We were 3 Girls working on it almost the whole day. In the evening I was completely worn out, just wanted to dive in my pillows and sleep. Yeah dream on, had certainly some things to do as help my mother to get the new Windows Vista, make some grocery (my tomcat wouldn't be happy without food) and so on and on... You know how it is, once you get started there are thousands of things you have to just do. At the end it was 11pm til I was in bed... so got at least 7 hours of sweet dreams.

Sunday I visited now georgous little Gianluca and his lovely family. They are so cute and he is such a sweetheart. Just slept the whole time we were there but I guess that is what babies are supposed to do. Got a few snapshots of the little one. Will prepare some cute album for the proud parents. Hope they will like it as much as the Mobile (so relieved they liked it). So that means I was photographing and improving my skills. Yeah, I am a learning by doing gal. Tested also some settings and think the result is not too bad. Sure there are no world changing images made by me but also big things start small. Here is one picture of my cute little sister I made some days ago. She was really not to happy posing, but I anyway like how the pictures turned out.

My dear friend Sandra got her Baby on 28.2.! It's a boy and he is called Gianluca. He is really sweet and adorable. Even though I only saw him on a picture on the website of the hospital. I look very much forward to meet him on Sunday. Such a sweet cuddlebug. As a little gift to bring with my I will try to lift the wonderful Mobile of Betsy V. I saw on twopeas http://twopeasinabucket.kaboose.com/pg.asp?cmd=display&layout_id=1099174. Isn't that just too cute? Hope I bring it close to this... Will post a picture when I finished it.
