Day 1 in my new life

Here we are, day 1 in my life. Can't really believe how fast the time passed since they told me I have to leave the company August, 24. After the last few weeks I have to say that it is somehow also a relief not be employed there anymore. I just look forward what is coming up. Monday my course to build a Business Plan for my own company will start. I'm really excited for that one to start. And as a goodbye gift I received a gift voucher for a beutician so I will enjoy some relaxing treatmens I truly deserve and require.

Other than this I'm still working on the wedding we shot 15.9., but they do not have to wait too long for their pictures... so stay tuned for the slideshow in the next few days.

Show for my sister

Ok, I liked Breach. Maybe it's not the best movie I've ever seen, but I mean there's also a lot worse than 110 minutes Ryan Philippe... Looking forward to his next movie. I'll be defenitely be in the audience.

Those of you who are waiting for the new site. Be patient. At the moment there are so many things going on in my life I really have to take care that everything fits in my life. But very soon I will have a lot more time, only 3 days left till I can enjoy some long awaited holiday.

Breach

Tonight we are going to the cinema, yay! So looking forward to that. I waited so long to finally see Breach. I adore Ryan Philippe, he's just to sexy to be true. Maybe just because he reminds me somewhat of my husband, not sure about that. But in any case tonight I wil enjoy 110 minutes both, my husband next to me and Ryan on screen.

Yes, yes I know. I am currently really bad when it comes to blogging. Actually I'm quite bad with everything at the moment... As I told you, I have to find a new job challenge. So my focus is on that as it has to be. Would love to switch full time to photography but it seems that this is just a moment to early. But a girl can dream and if you can dream it you can achieve it.

new website

My new website is on it's way....

I had to change my former template as I was not able to upload any more pictures, categories, pricelists - all the essentials. I only know a tiny bit of Flash programming which is not enough to manage my old template in the way I require my website to be. I still believe that Flash is one of the coolest Adobe programs (when you are able to use it to the max) and would love to learn some more. But currently, I just don't have the time and money to do so. That's why I simply prefer to pretend that I was outgrowon my old one.

Yes, I admit it. I have been really bad on bloggin lately as also with most of anything else regarding duties... I am still adapting the wedding pictures and also some other shootings I've done. - Just stay tuned. They will be ready very soon.

And now the true reason for my bad mood which is very simple. As most of you may know, I am unfortunately not a fulltime phtographer, even tough this is my big dream which hopefully may come true in the near future. This means most of the week days I stay in an office and work as a communications coordinator. I liked my job (yes, I use past tense). I've learned so much during the past few years especially design wise and also how the business world is running and I am truly thankful for all the experiences I made. But there is a big, huge, large BUT, the company changed extremely during the time since I've started working. And honestly it was not too much fun working there anymore. Fortunately or unfortunately due to some sad circumstances I have to find a new job... So as you can imagine my focus was a little disturbed and I needed a moment to gain back to myself. If anyone needs a creative, savvy, sarcastic geek, just let me know.

Other than that: HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my little sister. She is turning 15 today. I wish you all the best and may all your dreams come true. Just remember to reach them you must start working on them. Don't let anyone or anything come inbetween. Just follow your heart. And as a little sneak, that's one gift you will get tonight...

break from wedding pictures...

I needed just a quick look at something else. So I decided to quickly do some of my beautyful sister, enjoy.

Last Saturday Philippe and I had the opportunity to be wedding photographers for the first time. As you can assume we were quite nervous as Philippe only shoot a few years ago a civil wedding and I did not even that. We took tons of pictures, to be true more than 3000 in total. But we wanted to be sure not to miss any of the important moments and luckily we did not too bad. After the hours of shooting the work is not nearly done. Now it is proof and editing time. This will take me some more days if not weeks. I defenitely need to work on my workflow...

1.8. = Swiss National Day

Yes today we celebrate Switzerland as it is our national day. Really cool to have a day off. Especially if the weather is as nice as today! Phil and I enjoyed our day going up to the Brienzerrothorn in the Bernese Alps. It was just so cool and we were lucky to enjoy the wonderful sight and ourselves.

What'zzzz up?

Actually there is not too much up at the moment. I am really looking forward to the wedding which I will shoot in two weeks together with my husband. This will be exciting and a huge challenge. But I am confident that we will get niiiice pictures.

I read Harry Potter last weekend and love it. I think beside book 1 this is the best one. J.K. Rowling you rule! The only sad thing after the long waiting is that there will be no sequel, but I also believe it is better to end at one point than to write and end with just blah.

Other than this I started serius blog stalking, lol. Especially [b]eckers and Jessica Claires blog. There is just so much valuable information on their blogs that I am addicted. And they and their friends are just such awesome photogs. Just pure inspiration heaven for little Miss Linder.
